Coreopsis

$0

Bright yellow, daisy-like blooms that endure all summer are the hallmark of the popular, low-maintenance, sun-loving perennial (and occasionally annual) flower coreopsis. These bright, drought-tolerant plants, which belong to the Aster family and are great for supporting pollinators, are sometimes referred to as "tickseed" because their seeds resemble tiny insects. Depending on the species and cultivar, they usually have a diameter of one to three inches. Coreopsis lanceolata, often known as lanceleaf coreopsis, is the most prevalent native species and yields yellow flowers that are typically 1-2 inches diameter.
